Corn Dog Muffins

Comments: These really taste like corndogs without being deepfat fried or having to go to a carnival. Serve with, you guessed it, ketchup, mustard and relish. Cotton candy would be optional.

Ingredients

1 package corn muffin mix, such as Jiffy

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 egg(s), large

3/4 cup milk, 1% fat

1/2 cup cheese, cheddar

5 hotdogs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl mix the cornbread mix and brown sugar. In small bowl lightly beat the egg and stir in the milk. Fold the egg mixture, grated cheddar and hot dogs into the cornbread mixture. Fill paper lined muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes or until cornbread is done and lightly browned on top. Serve warm.
