Comments

This makes a great side to soups or salads. We use whole wheat Boboli for the ease and nutritional content, but you can use refrigerated pizza crust or fancier focaccia breads to change it up.

Ingredients

1 onion(s), red, sliced into thin rings

1 onion(s), sweet such as Vidalia or Maui or Walla Walla, sliced into thin rings

1 pizza crust, whole wheat Boboli Thin

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1/3 cup cheese, mozzarella, low moisture and part skim milk

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated

1 teaspoon rosemary, dried

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and saute' onions for about 5 minutes or until tender. Brush the pizza crust with olive oil. Sprinkle with cheeses, rosemary and garlic powder. Spread onions over the crust. Bake for about 8 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
