Sunflower Crusted Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a quick treat that dresses up plain refrigerator cookie dough. Try adding 1/2 a cup of shredded coconut to the nuts or rolling the dough in whatever nuts you have.
18 ounces cookie dough, chocolate chip, refrigerated
1/2 cup sunflower kernels, unsalted
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place sunflower kernels in a small shallow dish. Roll the cubes in your hand to form a ball. Then roll the ball in the sunflower kernels. You may need to press or squeeze the kernels into the dough slightly. Place the balls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
