Spiced Apple Dip with Apples

Your kids will love these and they are fairly low in calories.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons corn starch

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons honey

1 1/4 cup apple cider or juice

2 teaspoons lemon(s), juice only

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground

1 tablespoon butter

4 apple(s), sliced

Preparation

In a medium saucepan combine cornstarch and brown sugar. Mix in apple cider, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt and cloves. Cook and stir constantly until thick and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted. Serve warm with sliced apples. To keep the apples from browning, sprinkle them with orange or lemon juice.
