This is a simple homemade dessert using fresh strawberries. To shortcut this recipe, purchase sliced pound cake from the store.
1 pint strawberries, fresh
3 tablespoons jam, strawberry
3 cups whipped cream, light
1 teaspoon orange(s), zest
1 package biscuit dough, refrigerated, use 6 biscuits
Preheat oven and prepare biscuits according to package directions. In large mixing bowl glaze the strawberries by mixing them with the strawberry jam. When biscuits are cool enough to touch slice 6 biscuits in half and top the bottom halves with the strawberries. Then top the strawberries with about 1/2 cup of whipping cream, sprinkle with the grated orange peel and top with the biscuit top. Serve.
