These make a great kids lunch item, on the go snack or are great with a glass of wine.
1 cup nuts, cashews, roasted and salted
1 cup nuts, walnuts, whole raw
1 cup nuts, almonds, whole and roasted
1 egg(s), large, white only
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
1 tablespoon cumin, ground
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Place the egg white in a large bowl. Whisk until just frothy. Add nuts and mix well. Add sugar and mix well. Mix spices in a small bowl. Pour over nuts and mix well. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Arrange nuts in a single layer and bake at 250 degrees for about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and loosen with a spatula. Cool and store in a zip lock bag until serving.
