This is a quick and simple dessert using fresh plums.
1 pie crust dough, 9 inch Pillsbury or any
1/3 cup jam, plum or grape jelly
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg(s), large
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut plums in half and remove stones. Slice plums and place in a mixing bowl. Add granulated sugar and corn starch and coat. Roll the pie dough out to 10 inches in diameter. Place parchment paper on top of a baking sheet and place dough on top of parchment paper. Spread jam over center of dough leaving a 2 inch border around the edge. Arrange plums on top of jam. Fold the edges up and over the filling. Beat egg in a small bowl and brush over edges of dough. Bake approximately 20 minutes until crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool for 15 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
