Maple Spaghetti Squash
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes in microwave or 40 minutes in oven
Easy, seasonal, kid friendly. For smaller or larger spaghetti squash, adjust the butter and syrup to taste. You can us a lite syrup to lower calories and carbs.
1 pound spaghetti squash
1 tablespoon butter, light
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper, black, ground
Oven: To bake in oven, cut spaghetti squash in half lenthwise, scrape out seeds and place face down on a baking sheet. Add 1/4 cup of water and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until soft. Microwave: To cook in microwave, cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise scrape out seeds and place face down on a microwave safe pan. Add 1/4 cup of water and microwave for 12 to 15 minutes or until soft. Scrape the spaghetti like cooked spaghetti squash out of the shell and into a bowl. Mix in the butter, syrup, salt and pepper. Serve.
