Ingredients

1 pounds ground beef, extra lean

4 hamburger buns

4 ounces cheese, jack, reduced fat

4 green chilies, mild in can whole

1/2 teaspoon pepper, black, ground

1 teaspoon cumin, ground

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 onion(s), medium, finely chopped

1 tomato(es), medium

1 avocado(s), Haas or any

1/2 cup salsa, fresh, low sodium, refrigerator section

1/4 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped

4 lettuce leaves (Ice Berg or Red Leaf)

Preparation

Make the guacamole in a small bowl by adding chopped avocado, salsa, onion, and cilantro. Roughly mash the avocado and mix ingredients together, set aside. Shape the ground beef into 4 patties. Season with cumin, pepper and garlic salt. Heat a grill pan, outdoor grill, or skillet over medium high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Just before cooking is finished, top with one green chile and then top with slice of cheese. Turn heat down and allow the cheese to melt. Place the cooked patties on the bottom buns and top with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and a dollop of the guacamole.
