Steak and Veggie Kabobs

These are so fun and easy to make. They are great for the kids, or for entertaining.

Ingredients

1 pound(s) steak, lean sirloin or any favorite

1/4 cup(s) red wine (Cabernet or Merlot)

1 tablespoon(s) vinegar, red wine or cider

1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce, low sodium

1 tablespoon(s) garlic, bottled minced

1/2 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce

8 mushrooms, Crimini or button or combo

1/2 onion(s), red, cut in half, then quartered

1/2 pepper(s), bell, red, yellow, or green, 1

1/2 pepper(s), bell, red, yellow, or green, 1

8 tomato(es), grape or cherry

1 tablespoon(s) olive oil

1/2 teaspoon(s) rosemary, dried

1/2 teaspoon(s) thyme, dried

1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper, black, ground

8 Skewers

Preparation

Place meat in large zip lock bag. Add red wine, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper and toss to coat. Seal bag tightly and marinate 30 minutes to 4 hours. Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove meat from refrigerator. Thread meat and vegetables onto skewers until full. (If wood skewers are being used, soak in water for 30 minutes prior to use). Brush grill with oil and cook kebobs (turning once) about 10-15 minutes until desired doneness.
