Comments

A great alternative to soda. Adjust the amount of water and honey to taste. Our teens like this sour, the toddlers like it with more honey and water, and the adults like it rimmed with salt and a shot of tequila.

Ingredients

1 small watermelon, seedless

3/4 cup(s) honey

1 cup(s) lemon(s), juice, fresh

Preparation

To make watermelon ice cubes - Use a melon baller to scoop watermelon balls and place them on a flat tray in a single layer so they do not stick together. Place the tray(s) in the freezer for about an hour. Heat one cup of water in the microwave for 1 minute. Add the honey and mix to dissolve. In a pitcher combine the warm honey water, lemon juice, 4 cups of cold water (or more to taste) and stir. Serve over watermelon ice cubes or regular ice cubes. Enjoy in the shade.
