Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza

This makes a great kids meal and is also great as a side with a salad, soup or pasta dish.

Ingredients

1 roll pizza dough, refrigerated roll such as Pillsbury, (13.8 ounces)

2/3 cup marinara sauce, already prepared, jar or deli

1 cup cheese, mozzarella, low moisture and part skim milk, shredded

8 slices pepperoni

1 tablespoon flaxseed meal, ground flaxseed

cooking spray, olive oil type

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray two pie pans or shallow baking dishes with olive oil spray. Split pizza dough into two equal pieces. Roll out dough to fit pie pans and press into pans. Divide and top the dough with the pizza sauce, flax seed meal, mozzarella and 4 pepperoni per pizza. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and serve as a main course for kids or a side bread to a salad, soup or pasta.
