Garlic, Basil and Mozzarella Bread

This is a simple and delicious side for salads and pastas. Chopped tomatoes would also be good on this.

Ingredients

4 slices bread, french or sourdough or any

3/4 cup cheese, mozzarella, low moisture and part skim milk, shredded

1/3 cup basil, fresh

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to broil, leaving the oven door slightly open. Mix parmesan and garlic powder together in a small bowl. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on 4 slices of bread, top with parmesan mixture and place on a baking sheet. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes, until lightly browned. Top with fresh basil and serve.
