Comments

This is more of an adult dessert. The balsamic vinegar and lemon juice give the dessert a sweet and tangy flavor. Use nonfat yogurt to lower the fat and calories even more.

Ingredients

2 cup(s) frozen yogurt, vanilla, low fat

1 1/2 pint strawberries

1/2 cup vinegar, balsamic

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon lemon(s), juice only, 1 teaspoon

Preparation

Place the sugar and vinegar in a small sauce pan and heat over medium high heat. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and bring to a low boil. Cook for about 3 to four minutes until the liquid reduces by about half. Remove from the stove and cool for about 30 minutes. Slice the strawberries and place in a small bowl. Top with the sauce and toss. Place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Serve over frozen yogurt.
