Garlic Parmesan Bread

Simple favorite of ours with soup, salads or pasta. Sometimes we splurge with a little extra butter!
1 loaf french bread, unsliced, about 16 ounces
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, bottled minced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Heat the butter in a small dish in the microwave for 20 seconds. Add the olive oil, garlic and parmesan and mix well. Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Spread topping evenly over the cut side of the bread. Place on a baking sheet in a 425 degrees oven for 5 minutes until topping is bubbling.
